hi it’s (still) me

I’m Jules, I’ve been around since the early 80s and I live somewhere in the south of Germany. My family is from all over the place and so am I.

I’m into art, disability justice/studies, reading, the wild and the not so wild outdoors, RPGs, education, community organizing, math, human connections, direct action, anarchism and writing.

I enjoy reading, mostly queer fantasy and science fiction, that latest (not really) random non-fiction book and the more academic stuff. Also tea, coffee, nice food and watching plants and people grow. I love my journals, knitting is my meditation and I go for walks a lot. I also like trains and bikes.

I make art from light, water, dyes and pigments. I use (fountain) pens and brushes, pencils and crayons, cameras, carving tools, wood, lino and paper. Among other things.

I had previous lives in healthcare and in computer science, moving towards education now.

Where to find me

I avoid corporate social media. So you know where not to find me.

If I’m not somewhere on this ship, you can find me out there in the fediverse.

I’m @queering_space@weirder.earth on Mastodon. Weirder.earth is a well moderated small server, not federating with mastodon.social and a bunch of other too big or otherwise problematic instances.

I’m @Jules@wyrms.de on bookwyrm. Bookwyrm is a federated goodreads alternative not owned by amazon. I track the books I’m currently reading, publish quotes and comments, interact with other readers and keep track of books I want to read next (or in one of my future lives).
